International Students

International Learners

Foreign learners are required to have a study visa to study in South Africa; this takes approximately 2 to 4 months.

It is advisable that learners apply for the study visa well in advance through the Department of Home Affairs/SA High Commission/SA Embassy.

Refunds will not be granted if this is not timeously arranged.

For student visa requirements, refer to the following website – www.southafrica.info/public_services/foreigners/study_sa/studypermits.htm

Foreign learners will need to do the following:

  • Submit an application with the application fee and all the documents required as laid out in the prospectus, including a medical certificate even if a medical condition doesn’t exist.
  • Submit proof of sufficient funds to pay for the course as well as support yourself during your time in South Africa.
  • Become a member of a South African medical aid. This can only be done once you are in South Africa and have a South African bank account, so until such time, you will need to take out travel insurance to cover any potential medical costs.

Once all the documents and application form have been received, a provisional acceptance letter will be issued together with a learner registration form.

The registration form needs to be returned with the course deposit.
Once received, Capsicum Culinary Studio will issue you with an official acceptance letter stating that your funds have been received and that you are officially registered.

This letter can be used in support of your student visa application.

Please note:

The payment terms option is not available to foreign learners i.e. only cash payments will be accepted.

We are obliged to inform the High Commission/Embassy indicating that we will keep the Department of Home Affairs informed if foreign learners drop out or fail to qualify for re-enrolment.
