I am an example that anything is possible if you want it enough.
Nothing can stop you if you have ambition combined with the right qualification. In 2012 I completed the Diploma in Food Preparation and Cooking at Capsicum Culinary Studio, and since then have quickly moved up the kitchen ranks.
I’ve held positions as Commis Chef, Executive Sous Chef and currently Patron Chef at Fedics Food Services, but it has not always been easy.
I started in this industry as a cleaner with no training and it has taken me almost 15 years to get to this position.
I find enjoyment in enabling juniors to reach their full potential. I love what I currently do but you don’t have to stay behind the pots forever, as Chefs are becoming the Managers and cost coordinators of the industry.
I will always reinvent myself.
